Participation at the GASL2025 and the FALK Foundation Symposium in Munich

The GASL Annual Meeting 2025 (German Association for the study of the liver), in conjunction with the renowned Symposium of the Falk Foundation e.V., took place in Munich from February 13th to 15th, 2025. This prestigious event brought together leading experts in hepatology to discuss the latest scientific findings and innovative therapeutic approaches. This year’s conference focused on key topics such as metabolic-associated liver disease (MASLD), liver fibrosis, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), and new advances in microbiome research and gut-liver axis interactions. The Falk Foundation Symposium highlighted the liver´s influence on immune cell function, especially of T-cells and Macrophages.

A special highlight was the active participation of our research fellows Alina Bauschen and Dr. Nikola Mareljic, who presented their research in poster sessions, showcasing their findings to a distinguished audience. Their contributions sparked great interest and led to engaging discussions with fellow researchers and clinicians.

GASL2025 and the Falk Foundation Symposium provided an excellent platform for interdisciplinary exchange and networking with national and international experts. The participation of our Clinician Scientists highlights the high scientific quality and relevance of our research projects.
